Allen has spent the last five years mourning what seemed to be the loss of his first great love.
Then something amazing happened. A 27' Mastercraft complete with a driver and a lake only 30 minutes away appeared out of thin air. Or the internet. Which is sort of like a Fairy Godmother.
We spent all day Saturday in Allen's heaven. And I have to admit, it was pretty beautiful seeing that man back in his element. Like a giddy school girl. Except way more manly.
What was more amazing (and thrilling to the husband) were these children. They were chomping at the bit to get out on the water.
Fearless little babies.
Fearless little babies.
And since water sports are completely intimidating to me, watching my children jump right in and love every single second was beyond satisfying for me.
After a couple runs, this man was back to his old tricks. Or pretty dang close. I mean, it has been five years. And in those five years, well, you know, he didn't get any younger.
This boy, was so confident and adventurous and ambitious (and eager to impress). He was clearing the wake on his very first run. Definitely has his father's blood running through his veins.
He is dying to get up on the wakeboard. And be just like his daddy. And based on his immediate success, that will be one attainable goal.
And then there was her. I was certain she would kick and fight and scream. Instead, she jumped in the water and performed. Like a boss.
Who is this kid?
I haven't seen Allen this completely content in a super long time. And it is so rare that every single person in this family has an equally enjoyable time doing anything (Except eating. We all do really like to eat).
Obviously we are going again on Friday.

I thought Kelly was rockin' a two piece only to realize it was Tessa's arm. Looks so fun!
