School's Out for Summer!!

Last Thursday (the 19th) was the kids' last day of school.
We're pretty okay with that around these parts.
The happiest of days are waiting for us.
Smooches for summer.

THE DANDIEST DAPPEREST DAD

...is this dude.
He's the reason my moon is hung and my babies have stars in their eyes.
And if you could be present the first 30 seconds after he walks in the door, you would be certain he was a long lost rock star walking on water.
He is loved lots; partly because he is so dang sexy, but mostly because he is just so good. All parts good.  That's that boy.
Happy Father's Day Zimmerman!

Tessa Turns 5!!

The sweetest, bubbliest, kindest, happiest, spunkiest little lovey turned 5.  And just like that, she's a girl. Like basically an all grown-up giggly girl.
Because her birthday landed on a Sunday, her preschool class celebrated her on Thursday.  And  because that Sunday happened to land on Father's day, her family celebrated her on Saturday.  Because there shall be no shared celebrations in this household.
For her birthday, she was very specific.  All she wanted was a mani/pedi and dinner at Smashburger.
Which, gross, but whatever.  The five-year old gets what the five-year old wants.
Then it was time for cake and presents.
And she was enamored by the entire small-scaled spectacle.  She is just such a gracious easy-pleaser.  It's sort of not a shocker that she is everyones favorite.  I mean, not mine, because I don't have favorites.  Just everyone else.

Happy Birthday Tessa Jane!!
God gave me the biggest and best present when he gave me you.

May Days

Dear May,
I like you.  Let's be friends.

And now, the iPhone dump.

Ryder got his bear.  Or wolf.  Or whatever you get before you turn 10.  I'm a real active scouting mom.
The trampoline that the genius of an Easter Bunny brought for the children got assembled.  And has been used every. single. day.  For hours on end.
Fist bump Easter Bunny.
 Just another selfie-obsessed human.
 Super cute ponytail: check.
What's mine is hers.  Obnoxious and adorable.
Bless the sunshine.  And the swings.  And the fairy-dusted world that occupies this beauty's brain.
Bless my heart.  You know I was hoping to keep that laundry in there for daaayyyysssss.
FYI: I put baby in the corner.  Double FYI: she deserves worse.
Allen spent a week in California visiting his family.  So naturally, we frequented nasty restaurants on the regular.
Memorial day was a scorcher.  And sooooo satisfying.  We got a glimpse into summer on this day, and let me tell you, summer is going to be good.
Each night at 8pm while Allen was away, I received an email from him telling me where a new box of chocolates was hidden in the house. So what I'm saying is, he's dreamy and I'm meaty. (Not pictured, my one night stand with Le Maison du Chocolat, but just know it was life changing).
The End.
