It's a Miracle!!

Ryder made it alive to see his 5th Birthday!!  Yesterday was the big day and we celebrated with a quiet night at home.  Well, first I took the monkeys to my OB appt in the morning so I would have time to take Ryder out to eat before I had to drop him off at school.  Then Linley and I went with him to school so we could read a story to his class.  Then school was over and we had a quiet night at home.

Mommy obviously thought she had a cupboard full of candles, but apparently, she was wrong.  Whoopsy.
The Grandparents did phenomenally this year...between the remote control airplane and plasma car, Mommy's and Daddy's gifts were chopped liver.  Punk.

Ryder's big party is on Saturday.  Planned full of fun and fabulous outdoor activities.  Except that it is now suppose to rain, all day.  What have I done to myself???

Almost 33 Weeks

I am feeling the need to closely document the massiveness, because it is kind of mind-blowing. Plus there hasn't been any nudity on this blog in over a month.
Last night
This morning
7 Weeks is not nearly enough time. I am simply not ready for this kid to make her appearance. Not even close. Then again, in 7 weeks my tummy may simply explode. Only time will tell.

Easter is Fun

Okay, so truth be told, I loathe dying eggs. I find it to be a futile and only mediocrely fun experience...which does not cancel out the mess made, the eggs wasted, and the nasty smell the accompanies a cracked, half-chewed, spit out hard-boiled egg. But, Allen was bent on doing it this year, so I didn't really have a choice but to oblige. So here the kids are, in their egg dying glory. I think they enjoyed themselves. Linley just really wanted to drink the dye because she was convinced I was lying to her and it really was kool-aid. Gross.

Then while the monkeys were taking the naps, the Easter bunny came, bringing them these fabulous scooters (which myself and the Easter bunny highly recommend), and a bunch of chocolate. Then my camera died, but I promise a riveting Easter egg hunt followed. Indoors, of course because it was frigid and pouring outside. Wonderful.

Easter Bunny on Saturday may be the best idea ever. Thanks Andrea for suggesting it. Saturday is tons of fun and Sunday is less stressful and far more spiritual. Genius woman!

Spring is Fun

We were so lucky to have Grandma and Grandpa Z come visit us this past week.  One of our favorite outings was a trip into the city to tour the Macy's Flower Show.  I love New York in Springtime... it is completely dreamy.  Macy's does a fabulous job of capturing it's beauty...displaying billions of fresh flowers everywhere.

Happy Easter

The Easter Bunny came to our house yesterday so that today's focus could be all about Jesus.  So, I will refrain from posting our wordly celebrations and keep this post all-in-the-family.

31 Weeks...Holy Hugeness!!  Don't make fun of me.  I know I have two more months of massive growing to do.  This tummy is going to be truly insane!

I am so grateful for the Atonement and for the love of our Savior!  Because of Him, this awesome family I have will be together forever.  It doesn't get better than that folks!

Rotten Easter Egg Hunt

Saturday we thought we would be good, festive parents and take our kids to the town's Easter Egg hunt.  It was a miserable disaster.  A few reasons why:
1. It was fully freezing.  I just want an Egg Hunt where my kids can actually dress for Spring.  Is that so wrong??
2.  Within .387 seconds the hunt ended.  Most kids had zero eggs.  Big kids had millions.  My kids got 5 each.  This made me proud because I knew they had to fight for everyone of them
3.  Five eggs was not enough for the 4-year old, and a full-on tantrum of depression and all the unfairness of the world ensued.
4.  I have been sick ever since.

So...just in case I never take the monkeys egg hunting again, here is proof that once upon a time I was a good mommy.
