Four-Ever Young...I hope

Yesterday was the little man's 4th birthday!! Holy mother I have a four-old. We partied the night away at Chuck-E-Cheese, complete with games, pizza, presents, and his specially requested orange dinosaur with blue dots. Happy Birthday kiddo....you are the best little boy a mommy could ask for!!

The birthday boy was a Skeet Ball fanatic!!

Ryder loved all his presents!! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Wallace for all the fun toys. He can't wait to delve into the massive amount of Play-Doh things. But seriously, did you need to get him three sets?? You really do want to punish me! He is so excited to go to Toys 'R Us to pick out a toy with his birthday money from Grandma and Grandpa Z!! And the boys stayed up late last night playing Mariokart. The handsome hubster was the purchaser of this present. Ulterior motives anyone??

Spring Training

To continue with the baseball theme...A few videos of the little man trying to hit some balls with his dad this weekend. I mostly love it when he misses. I find his reactions to be rather enjoyable. I will make a baseball player out of him...

Friends with Benefits

Two of Allen's good buddies work for a hedge fund whose owner just so happens to also own the Mets. Allen went with one of these buddies to watch the Mets beat the Braves (sorry Dad) on Saturday, sitting in the nosebleeds of the owner's box. Rough. Unlimited pop and hot dogs. Do you see the goofy grin on this man's face?? Obviously he enjoyed himself.

Popcorn Popping

This past weekend was gorgeous....verging on hot. We're talking high seventies, low eighties. Not so much this week, but we won't discuss that. So, for four days we went on many walks, spent much time at the park, and sometimes even walked to the park. Allen was so pleased with the weather that on Thursday he came home at 2 to bask and to play. We decided to take a walk to enjoy all of the gorgeousness going on right now. I love walking down our streets. There are so many different blossoms... it is truly beautiful. I feel like I am living in a painting (circa 1961 due to the surrounding architecture).

The magnolia blossoms are my favorite. Although my dad tells me I don't want a magnolia tree because they are a huge dirty pain. Based on the amount of petals I am now seeing on people's lawns, he probably is right. So, I will be content to simply enjoy strolling by them.

It was so much fun to have Allen play with us at the park. The kids love him so much. It is such a treat for me to see them worship him- and to watch him adore them back. I love my life.

Such a perfect day to start off our perfect weekend.

Turtle Back Zoo

I am fresh out of titles. Monday was our last day with the Weiss'. Well, my last day. Allen had to work. Sucker. We headed to the local zoo which I absolutely fell in love with...and will post a million pictures of, so that you too may feel you were fully a part, naturally. I am not lying.

I really dug (hehe) the prairie dogs. So cute.

Go Cougars (I seriously can't help myself).
Linley was obsessed with the Aflac duck. Obsessed!

That would be a Chinese chicken, just in case you aren't fully educated in your chickens.
A Golden Pheasant.
The kids loved this little train ride.

The end. Thank you Damian and Sarah for taking the time to come visit us. We had so much fun and you guys were the most gracious guests ever. We can't wait to play again.
As I receive pictures from them, I may just have to post more. Consider yourselves warned.

Before and After

Don't get excited. It's not of the house. I am not ready for that yet.
Of me and the family, of course.

Here we are with the view of downtown Manhattan in the background, Labor Day 2006
And the same view, April 12, 2008.

We get so big so fast :)
