Twinkling Tannenbaum

Trimming the tree night is one of the sweetest, most magical (and death-defying) nights of every year.
Christmas, we are ready for you!

Town Tree Lighting

Because fireworks are the only way to appropriately usher in the always dashing December.
Bless you Berkeley Heights.  You are the very best and the very brightest.

November iPhone Dump

Not to be forgotten in November:

The Presidential election.
We were excited to vote.
Very much less excited with the outcome.
The right way to end date night.
Our favorite birthday boy turned 38.
And got a Bronco.
Oh, and I got older, too.

November, you are my forever favorite.

Thanksgiving!

We were privileged to have Mom and Dad, The Rogers Family and Amanda join us for Turkey Time.
Our first day Amanda and mom headed to the city while the rest of us feasted at the one and only Peter Luger.
We made the better choice.

The next day mom stayed home to craft with the kids while we enjoyed some tea time and shopping.  As sisters do.
That night we stuffed our faces on a wide array of appetizers and pie.  So. Much. Pie.
On Thanksgiving, while the turkey roasted, the rolls raised and the potatoes boiled, makeovers and photo shoots ensued.
Then it was time to eat.  Like kings.  Of the starving variety.
The cutest kids table.
 The adult table.
After a most satisfying meal, a tummy tempering movie night was a must.
I am so very very thankful for every single on of these people (plus Megan, who was too ill at this precise moment).
They add so much sunshine and sparkle to my life.
Happiest Thanksgiving!!

Happy Fifteen!

We spent our anniversary weekend celebrating like celebrities in the city.
We stayed at The Plaza Hotel.
We dined on the most delicious dinner at Jean Georges.
We rejoiced in the opportunity to sleep without interruption.
We breakfasted at Sarabeth's.
And strolled Central Park.
 It was all so perfect.
Perfect food, perfect accommodations, perfect weather, perfect romance, {nearly}perfect husband.
I really, really like you Zimm.
Happy Anniversary!
xx

October iPhone Dump

Rounding out the best of October:

General Conference traditions continue
Allen and girls taking advantage of the perfect weather on a Sunday afternoon hike.
Eden got to accompany Allen to work while I was frolicking in Mexico.
Fall showed up.  And showed off.

We endured 72 hours of pure torturous hell wherein I had an emergency root canal, all three girls were treated for lice, my washer and dryer ran nonstop, and Ryder got the pukes.

All three kids tried out for club swim and made the team.  Ryder and Linley had their first meet in October.  And killed it.  Ryder got two firsts and a second and Linley swam with so much confidence.  It's going to be an exciting year.
Another Sunday hike, this time with a surprising downpour.
Oh October, you are glorious and good.
