Spring Break: THE Wedding

Our real purpose for visiting Utah was to celebrate Alex on his big day.
But first, a quick stop at Swig to see one of our dating days favorites: Sheryle and her adorable family.
But then, then we got to celebrate love.  And Alex and Erika (yep, another Erika).  They were stunning.  I mean, that dress!  And the temple.  Oh, the temple.  Provo City Center may just be the most beautiful of all the temples.
The ceremony was beautiful, the weather was perfect, the setting magnificent: it was a real-life fairytale.
The reception was adorable, and fun, and featured a burrito bar, so no additional words necessary (insert all the heart emojis).
Oh, and Kilani Sitake made an appearance, so...
 Congratulations Alex and Kika!!!
Truly, a match made in Heaven.

Spring Break: Bryce Canyon

Oh, hey there humongous awesome canyon.
No joke, Mother Nature is the coolest chick.
We did a bus tour and a simple 2-mile hike around the rim of the canyon.  And it was a solid feast for the eyes.
Regret is not spending every free second of college exploring; when I had all the minutes and none of the responsibility.
Because Utah deserves so much more credit.
She's a true natural beauty.
And we made the most amazing memories experiencing some of the best she has to offer.

Spring Break: Zion National Park

 Heaven.  Majestic.  Inspiring.  Awesome.
Zion.
We spent the day hiking through Zion on the Angels Landing Trail.
Every step was more striking than the last.
We spent the first 2 miles together.
The hike was labeled strenuous, and those kids were the greatest little troopers.
It is most satisfying to task your kids with something difficult and then watch them excel.
The last half mile up we split.
Ryder, Linley and I climbed using chains to get to the Angels Landing Summit.
There were several moments where we questioned how this was legal.  Or at a minimum, how we were allowed to climb without signing our life away, first.
But it was worth every menacing maneuver.
Because, this:
While we held our breath, Allen, Tessa and Eden took to some exploring.
The kind that would not end in certain death.
 I spy Tessa Jane.
5 miles of adrenaline and astonishment.
This was a good day.  A very best unforgettable day.
 Zion wins.

Spring Break: Las Vegas

We spent two days in sparkling Las Vegas.
And lived like kings.

We began buffeting at Bacchanal.
Where I happily ate my weight in crab legs and crepes.
We spent an evening being charmed by the Osmond's.
Breakfasted at Hash House A Go-Go
Slept and splashed at The Venetian.
Soared over Vegas in The High Roller
Slurped the most spectacular shakes at Holsteins
Enjoyed a magical kid free evening at Cirque de Soleil's "O"
 Walked through the Bellagio gardens.
And dined at the gorgeous Prime Steakhouse while being treated to the Bellagio Fountain Show.
Not pictured: arcades, roller coasters and more food.  So. Much. More. Food.
Dear Vegas,
You are delicious.
