Spring Break!!

We were all feeling the need for a little getaway, so we decided to head to Camelback waterpark in the Poconos for a few days during Spring Break.
It's a lot like Great Wolf Lodge, except newer.  And thus, less disgusting.
They had some super intense slides.  Like these.  Wherein the floors drops and you freefall 60 feet.  Seemingly to your death.
Luckily, we all survived.
We did not, however, test fate twice.
I love when my children enjoy each other's company.
It's rare, but oh so sweet.
 Eden was fearless.
Actually beyond fearless.
She craved the adrenaline.
 Again. And again.
 And again.
The boys even stayed late one night to maximize their enjoyment.
This is why we vacation.
The only unfortunate aspect was the place was empty.  Which means, no lines.  Which means, sore legs.  Which means, well, I am out of shape I suppose.
The kids did every single ride their height allowed.  On repeat (with that one notable death-defying exception).
It was a most wonderful, healthy little excursion.
We really, really like each other (at least when we are not within the walls of our own home).

March iPhone Dump

Finishing off March:
Ryder concluded his first season of travel basketball.  He was a B-team baller.
We gave Crazy Hair Day our best attempt.
We were hit with the pukes.
Hard.
We went green for Saint Patrick.
Magic Eraser saved her life.  Again and again and again.
 We paper mached.
And it was a success!!
 This:

Eden: Moooommm. Can I have a Girl Scout cookie please? Ryder DIDN'T GIVE ME ANY!!! 😫
Me: How did you get chocolate all over your face if you didn't eat a cookie?
Eden: Ryder put a cookie on the deck and my face fell on it.

Allen and I and the two bigs headed to Madison Square Garden to watch our Cougars lose in the NIT semi-finals (sad face).
But grandpa came to watch with us (happy face)!!
And Bestie and I successfully stalked Jimmer (dork face)!!!
Mornings with grandpa are the greatest.
No Ides this March!!
It's a St. Patty miracle.

Happy Easter!!

This was the first year we have been in town for Easter since moving to the new house.
Which isn't new anymore.
So, the BH house it shall now be named.
The kids woke Saturday morning to enjoy the spoils left by Bunny.
And dyed eggs.
For that, I deserve a medal.

Sunday was a most spectacular Sabbath.
I love a meeting focused solely on our Savior.  The spirit is so sweet when the spoken word and the music is centered on Christ.
And this meeting was one to be savored.
 Also, my children were stunning.
We stopped by the arboretum after church.  Where we were able to fully appreciate this gorgeous earth God has given.
God is so good to us.
I am grateful He is my Father.
I am grateful for His love and His patience.
So. Much. Patience.
I am grateful He has granted us the gift of together forever.
And the gift of right now.
I am grateful for the gospel.  And the hope it gives me when the right now isn't all tulips and teethy grins.
 I am grateful for Jesus.
Don't you just feel like hugging Him?  Throwing your arms tight around his neck in the warmest embrace you could ever hope for?
 Right this very instant?
That's Easter for me.
A big warm Jesus hug.
And it is the very greatest.

Grandma Takes New York!!

We were so lucky to have Grandma visit us for Easter!!
She and Allen got to spend a day in NYC wherein they:
strolled the Macy's Flower Show, watched The King and I on Broadway, and enjoyed some yummy food.
Lucky duckies.
And then she paid us back tenfold in pie.
We are the luckiest duckies.
All of this needs to happen again.  Very, very soon.
