Happiness

Baby girl turned 3 months old on Tuesday. She is just a little bundle of happiness, eager to smile at any onlooker. She loves singing, cooing and babbling. We are so in love with this little precious package.
I dare say this girl belongs to me.
And is her sister's twin with more hair.

Big Man on Campus

Today was Ryder's first day of school as a big time Kindergartner. Now he rules his Primary Center. So what if he should have started school last week. He was at the beach. Priorities people.
He left for school a little bit angry because I wouldn't let him tuck his shirt in, and he came home from school a little bit angry because kindergarten doesn't have play time and all they did was read. Poor, poor child.

Tessa Tickled Pink

Tess spent a lot of time looking like this. No complaints here. However, she also spent some time smiling and cooing and talking and being simply adorable. This girl is already a pro at getting attention in mass quantities.

Linley Loving Life

Linley is our little sun goddess- and the little brat has the skin color to prove it. Where she got that olive tone I will never know...but dang does it look good on her.

Ryder Rockin' The Waters

One of the best parts of the trip was experiencing Ryder's new found confidence in the water. Not only would he go head deep in the ocean, he loved jumping in the pool, being thrown in the pool, and best of all....HE LEARNED TO SWIM. Halle-frickin-lujah. That one was a long time coming.

Family FunCation

As a Bon Voyage to summer (well, more like the only week of real summer we experienced, but we are trying to move past that), we took a trip down to Georgia and Hilton Head Island.
Georgia to show off Tess and watch possibly the most phenomenal football game ever. Hello #7 team in the nation. I am so madly in love with you. But this post is about my family on vacation. Not football. But holy crap that was some fabulous football. I'm just saying...
First stop was Georgia. Which I have no pictures of. Probably because I couldn't get over the shock of the radness that was and is BYU football.
Then we headed to the Barony Beach Club on Hilton Head Island for a week of bliss. That place is heaven. The Barony was not only right on the beach, but had about a billion pools for the kids to play in. The hardest part of our day was deciding which water source we wanted to immerse our bodies in. I could really get use to that life. Actually, I did get use to that life. It's this life here that I am having trouble adjusting to.

Grandma and Grandpa even came for a few days. Granted, this is a pretty crappy shot of everyone, but it is the only one I have. Sorry Big Bill (the name by which Linley insists on calling her grandfather). The beach was fantastic. The water was perfect. Dad, Allen and I probably could have swam in the ocean forever....if it wasn't for those stinking kids begging for our attention. Who takes kids on a beach vacation anyway??? That is a joke, for the most part. Seeing the kids excitement and love for the water was pretty priceless. Still, I could have used a couple more hours in the ocean- especially with Nanny Debbie taking care of Tess.
We were pretty nervous that we would get rained on and all our grand summer dreams would be washed away. Instead, there wasn't a cloud in sight and the temps stayed above 90 degrees our entire stay. Oh how I love it when things work in my favor. Kind of like when BYU comes out on top over Oklahoma. Yes, definitely something like that.

We loved HHI so much that we decided to stay an extra day. Unfortunately, the Barony was sold out, so we stayed at the Hilton. That place was a bit of an embarrassment...but only us snobby parents noticed. The kids were just happy to have another day to play in the sun. If it wasn't for those pesky inconveniences of school and work, I am pretty certain we would have never left the island.
Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for joining us and adding to the fabulous memories made on this trip. We really can't wait to do this again. It was perfect.
