Featuring Fall

That Christopher Columbus.  What a hero.
 Also heroic: This guy ^^

The kids had a half day at school today.  The mister had a day off from work today.
Which meant: A-day-without-rain-so-let's-hurry-and-head-to-the-pumpkin-patch.
Because rain, it's a beautiful necessity.  But she's overstayed her welcome.  Which, for the record, is not at all heroic.
Wightman's Farms was yet again a picture of Autumnal perfection.
That adds up to a whole lot of never-disappointed years.  Years. That never happens.
Wightman's: you are our Fall heroes.
Along with Mr. Columbus.  Because, America.
Pumpkin picking: she's all about it.

That hayride.
I hold my breath to the top every time.
Anxious to see if the view will be as pretty as it was the year before.
 It's always prettier.
In addition to our usual apple-cider + apple-cider donuts + pie, we stopped at a little farmstand on the side of the road on our way home and picked up some fresh baked bread.
This equals: one ridiculously delicious evening of eating.

Bless you Christopher Columbus.

Conquering Conference

Last weekend was General Conference.  We celebrated with our semi-annual coffee cake.
Which bless the Deb for starting that tradition when I was under her constant care.  Because that coffee cake.  It takes the cake.  In every category.
Also, it rained all weekend.  We compensated by taking lots and lots of pictures.
Which makes total sense?
 It makes no sense.
But hello: super happy I did.

 They're the greatest.
 God is good.
 The gospel is real.
Annnnddd, say your morning prayers.
Amen.

September iPhone Dump

Ready. Set. Go:

Putt-putt with the parents happened.
With a couple holes-in-one.

 Football has been watched.
Related: hearts have been broken and dreams shattered.
 Proof of the once-but-no-longer potty-trained.
 My most favorite selfier.
I decorated for Halloween {insert clapping hands emoji}.
I chopped off my hair.  And turned into Miley Cyrus. So this may be regrettable.
Linley and I went to Women's Conference. She was dead asleep on my lap within 20 minutes.
September was busy and sweet and silly.  Like 14 months shrunk into 30 days.  I'm still deciding if I liked how you did that, September.

Waving off Wakeboarding

We ended another season of wakeboarding with a bang.
The sort of bang that sounds like Ryder getting his first taste of air and Linley moving in and out of the wake.
And The Mister killing it.  As per the usual.
It's official: this family has a hobby.

She's Already Terrible...

...but now she's TWO!!!!
She was potty-trained for ten days.
Then she learned pee holds power.
She is no longer potty trained.

She is obsessed with Peppa Pig.
Bless you Peppa Pig.

She has a vocabulary of a bazillion words.
Yesterday she said, "Mommy, I like wabbits. Wabbits jump. I like orange.  Orange forks. Orange forks are funny.  And frogs. Frogs jump.  Frogs funny. Can I have some fishies? Peeeeaaassee. Thank you mom. I give you hug.  And kiss."
So, what I'm saying is, that explains everything.  And absolutely nothing.

Her present.  Because Peppa can only give so much.

She is crazy and stubborn and loud and she bites.
 Really hard.
She is also the sweetest, most tender, cuddly, smart, sassy, loving, polite little lady.  And I'm completely smitten.
Simultaneously smitten and on the verge of murdering her at any second.
So, what I'm saying is, that explains everything.  And absolutely nothing.
Happy Birthday Eden Rose!!!
No person on the planet has ever been more loved than you.
