Summer of Dreams: Vacation Day 2

The kids came into our room at 3:30 am asking if they could watch cartoons in their room. This was not funny. Ryder jumped in bed with Allen and I moved to the kids room with Linley. We all slept until 6:15 when we heard Tessa talking in her room, also known as the bathroom. Sweet.
We headed downstairs for breakfast, where we were all amply fueled for the days events.

We began the day taking pictures at the American Falls. Tess slept through this momentous event.

Then we took pictures of the Maid of the Mist entering the Canadian Falls. This would be us in just a few short hours. Complete awesomeness.
A short walk later we found ourselves on a Journey Behind the Falls. Behind us, the falls.
I really thought I was going to get to walk behind the falls. Instead we walked through a heavy duty cement tunnel behind the falls. Allen told me if I valued my life, this would have to do.
Next, we took a bus over to the Maid of the Mist. Tess enjoyed this part of our day.
All boarded on the boat, super excited to get soaked. Behind us, the American Falls.
The deeper we got into the Canada falls, the more miserable Linley and Tessa became. In the end, they were not fans of the soaking. The rest of us, however, were completely mesmerized by the what was going on around us. The sounds, the sights, the shaking of the boat. Completely amazing.
We ate lunch, headed back to the hotel for more swimming, showered, napped, then headed out for more eating. This time at a restaurant overlooking the Falls. Here I dined on one of the most disgusting meals of my life. Everyone else, however, got nice and fat and happy.
And that's my Linley. Mustard looks good on her.
After dinner we loaded up on treats from an adorable candy store, then picked our spot to watch the Falls all fancy and lit up.
The evening ended with fireworks over the Falls.
As we tucked the kids into bed, we were just as giddy as they were at how fabulous they day had been. And then we fell asleep. Fast.
