Merry Christmas.

 Today was merry and bright.
No one entered our room until 7am.
And Eden didn't wake up until 7:15.
It's the small things.
Santa did good.  But only because these kids did great (and Santa clearly has amnesia).
 Such a happy joyful chaos.
Sidenotes:
Christmas is really, really rough on two-year olds.
We brought dinner to our elderly neighbor.  He is widowed and in a wheelchair.  I was feeling really good about it until I tasted the green beans.  Post delivery.
They were raw.
There was a present labeled To: Erica, From: The Queen Bee Herself.  It was my favorite present.  Curious thing.
Christmas is a 4 diet coke day.  Prayers for my kidneys.

Merry Christmas!!!!
It has been such a pleasure.

On the Twelfth Day of Christmas...

...we partied with 26 of our favorite people.

We began with an adorable and chaotic nativity reenactment (which, seems quite fitting, considering Jesus was born in a stable surrounded by wild{ish} animals).
Enjoyed a raucous singing session, then finished with the decorating 90 sugar cookies.
It was one joyous evening.
Then we sent everyone away to eagerly await the arrival of Santa Claus.
And the annual opening of The Jammies.
Merry Sugarplum Dancing Dreams!!

On the Eleventh Day of Christmas...

...we celebrated and sang and sipped hot cocoa with the neighborhood.
...and made the street sparkle.
Happy Twinkling!

On the Tenth Day of Christmas...

...we were suppose to watch football and celebrate with victory cookies.  Instead we're drowning ourselves in consolation calories.
3-D Christmas movies with friends also numbs the pain.
Happy Brawling/Bawling!!

On the Ninth Day of Christmas...

...we baked, assembled and delivered neighborhood treats.
Happy it is to be my neighbor!!

On The Eighth Day of Christmas...

...we woke up bright and early, bundled up, and made the drive into the city.

In case you're curious, Saturday mornings in the city are the best mornings in the city.  The city that never sleeps is sleeping soundly.  It's quiet and shiny and serene.

We walked right into Macy's Santaland.  Not one person in line.
It's no secret this is the only place to see the real Santa.
Macy's windows theme was The Galaxy.  And they were fabulous.
 One short subway ride later...
...we found ourselves in front of her.
Themed with fairy tales, the Saks windows did not disappoint either.
I don't know what they're doing.
After breakfast and Times Square, we were back in the car and headed home.
Easiest City Date, to date.
Happy Ho Ho Ho-ing.

On the Seventh Day of Christmas...

...we created, decorated then devoured a Rice Krispie Treat tree.
Happy Tannenbaum!

On the Sixth Day of Christmas...

...we made Moose Munch and snuggled by the fire while watching Christmas movies.
(we also missed Ryder who was off cheering on Duke at the Izod Center)
Merry Munching!!

On the Fifth Day of Christmas...

...we created our own Winter Wonderland.
Happy Faux Snow Day!

On the Fourth Day of Christmas...

...we delivered our letters to Santa.
Berkeley Heights will always have my heart.
 Happy Delivery!!

On the Third Day of Christmas...

...we wrote letters to Santa.
This girl will be getting everything she asks for.
Happy wishing and writing!!

On the Second Day of Christmas...

...we dressed in our holiday best.
Happy Family!!

On the First Day of Christmas...

...we attended the town Tree Lighting.
It really is the most adorable and festively packed 30 minute production.
We left still completely praising ourselves for our decision to move here.
It's quaint and cozy in all the right ways.
Happy Festivus!!
