Oh Happy Day

Yesterday Ryder became officially enrolled in preschool. This is most exciting news. To be accepted into the preschool that I desperately wanted him to attend, he had to be entered into a lottery. And he won (well, if paying $210 a month for my preschool of choice can be considered winning)!! Starting in the Fall my little boy will be spending 3 hours a day, 4 days a week becoming a man. Beautiful.

$210 isn't bad for a 4 day a week program. ella starts preschool in the fall too. she is so excited! hers is a 3 day a week school. tuition is $165 per month. aubrey's was a different school, two days a week(5 hours per day though) and i paid $240 a month for hers. i think i was smokin crack to pay that much.
you'll love the free time, but the first couple of weeks are hard(for me anyways). i felt like i was missing out on so much of aubrey's life, does that sound silly? i think it was because i wasn't seeing her pretty much all day since it was a 5 hour a day thing. a 3 hour a day program won't be so hard. it will be easier for me when ella goes i know. all of her friends are already in it and she is begging to go-people are starting to put their kids in "preschool" so early nowadays.

Hooray for Ryder! 3 hrs/4 days a week sounds perfect. We're still a couple of years away, but I hear that part-time pre-schools are getting harder and harder to find.

I can't believe the cost!!! Ryanna goes only twice a week for two hours a time and it's a whopping $65 a month. It's not as academic or all that I hoped, but the pre-schools around here range anywhere from $75 and the max I've heard is $150--and that's taught by a kindergarten teacher who teaches in the morning and does pre-school in the afternoon three days a week.

You will LOVE having Ryder in preschool...I cannot wait for the fall when Tanner starts. Those three hours are precious to a mother!

Wow! Ryder is starting preschool?! That seems like the ABSOLUTE perfect amount of time and days. I am sure he'll love it. He is turning 4 this spring, isnt he? Getting so big! And $210 isnt too bad. Imagine life still in JC and if it was private, you're looking at $1000 a month for part-time...but you probably remember that!! Unreal!! Just think of the stories we can tell forever more of JC!

Yayyyy for Ryder! He's gonna love it, but I think you'll love it even more. I think one of the things I've loved is the one on one time I have with Edyn. I was a little apprehensive when it came time to put Ethan into pre-k but I was so glad I did it. He is such a busy boy and it was a great chance for him to venture out and meet some friends, have fun and learn.
